I was trying to put together a Friends of the Parks and Trails initiative at one time, but set it to the side to focus on the Lake Wichita Study Committee--that will require a huge public commitment to pull off. But the city does have a way for community groups to volunteer to cleanup parks and waterways--just contact Parks and Recreation for information.Penny Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10385720365563812763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6755805030895979598.post-71157337686553514232014-03-16T12:07:21.999-05:002014-03-16T12:07:21.999-05:00The trashing of the Falls has been preying on my m...The trashing of the Falls has been preying on my mind as well. First it was the areas around the Walmarts. All three of 'em. When I switched over to a driving job that keeps me out and about in all neighborhoods, I began noticing the litter scattered and scattering everywhere.

So, yes, I agree we have a problem, and we need to fix it. I'm good for periodic "collection" labor as I pick up trash when and where I can. Was thinking, too, we might get businesses adjoining the Hike and Bike Trail to "Adopt a Path" portions of the trail.JimTXMillerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09914403886500865985noreply@blogger.com
